10 Ways to Improve PC Performance

1. Limit chrome tabs. You may want to recommend that they keep 10 or less tabs open simultaneously and only 1 browser instance.

2. Try using incognito.

3. Use Web teams if possible. Teams app consumes more memory compared to Web

4. Do clear browsing data/history once a week.

5. If possible, shut down the machine after work.

6. If there are Windows security/patch updates, make sure to prioritize the update. Most of the time, computers needing updates tend to slow down when there are patches that need to be installed.

7. Check local drive capacity, laptops that reach the thresholds perform slow. Make sure to delete unnecessary files from the recycle bin to free up space.

8. Avoid opening multiple and large Excel file apps.

9. Always connect the laptop to a power source while working. Laptops with low battery/supply perform sluggish.

10. If they need to report a problem to IT, be very specific about the problem they're experiencing. Example - If they have connectivity issues, please specify what site/sites are slow. If they experience latency on a particular site, try accessing other sites to see if they're also slow.
